Why Join Our Speed Networking Event?

  • It is a fun way to meet a lot of people in a very short time and introduce yourself to them and practice your story
  • Sometimes we may give you a question to answer – for example,
    • What is it you do and why?
    • Practice your pitch, or
    • what is an ethical enterprise?

What is Speed Mentoring? What Is In It For Me?

  • When we have run this format in the past – it’s been amazing how animated the conversations have been.
  • Fun, educational, informative and insightful are just a few words we received from the feedback.
  • Each mentor will set a topic for the evening. They will present the issue to each group and start the conversation, after 10-15 minutes they will move onto the next group and start again.
  • This is an opportunity for each group to meet each mentor to discuss a very specific topic.
  • Conversations enable you to gain insight from others, and to share knowledge and lessons learnt from hands-on experience.

How do these events work?

  • Casual networking (15 mins)
  • Introduction to the process and the Mentors
  • Speed Networking (20-30 mins) make new connections – each conversation will be five minutes, and you’ll have two minutes to speak and two minutes to listen
  • Don’t worry we’ll keep track of the time and let you know when it is time to change
  • Conversations with each Mentor is between 10-15 mins and then the mentor will move to another group and open the discussion – with a set topic
  • Casual Networking continues
  • Connections happen post the event
